NCH Foundation Scholarships 2023-2024 Process and Application

As you read through the requirements for the following scholarships, academic GPA and standardized test scores are important, but also make a list of what makes you unique and make sure to include those characteristics. Each of the Foundation scholarships is looking for unique individuals, not just a high GPA.

 

When you are ready to start applying, it's important to be organized. One of the most important steps is to read the directions, qualifications, and fine print carefully. Apply for as many scholarships as possible and make sure you submit quality work (proofread, spell check, etc).

 

 

For each of these scholarship applications you will need to upload two items:

1. A copy of your resume
2. A copy of your college acceptance letter

 

 

Be sure you read the directions for the essays carefully. Make sure you're answering the essay question accurately and thoughtfully, as many judges will look to those essays to narrow down the long list of applicants. 

 

Start working on those essays early, and ask teachers or your peers for honest feedback.

Applications are due Friday, March 29, 2024 at 12pm EST - no exceptions. Being absent from school is not an excuse.

"Give Results, No Excuses" ($2,000)

Marvin Kolodzik ($2,000/yr for 4 years, total $8,000)

McMillian Scholarship ($2,000)

Michael Calicott Suit Scholarship (2 suits: 1 male and 1 female)

Nancy Schollenbarger Memorial ($4,000)

NCH Chamber of Commerce ($3,000)

The Kidd Scholarship ($1,000)

University of Cincinnati / Kolodzik Endowment ($8,000)

The Michael & Carolyn Slaughter Service Scholarship Application - Apply Here

($4,000 Total - $1,000 per year with continued eligibility - 3.0 GPA)

 

The Bruce Baarendse Memorial Scholarship Application - Apply Here

($3,000 to one student)

 

The Stanley & Donna Wernz Scholarship Application - Apply Here

($16,000 Total / $4,000 per year - Student must be accepted into a college music major program.)
