Mrs. Laura Grigg

Originally from Columbus, Ohio, I earned my Bachelor of Arts in Psychology and Bachelor of Science in Family Studies and Child Development from Miami University in 2009. After two years working in mental health/teaching at a behavioral school, I pursued my passion for education, working toward a Master’s in Education with a specialization and licensure in Special Education from Xavier University, graduating in 2015.

I served as an Intervention Specialist at NCH Middle School for nine years, working in the 5th Grade Co-Taught General Education Classroom, a 5th Grade combined Resource/Life Skills Classroom, and teaching 5th/6th Grade Language Arts and Math in the Resource Room setting. I also had the opportunity to begin my journey into leadership roles by serving as the Middle School's Lead Intervention Specialist for four years. After completing my administrative licensure through Xavier University in December 2022, I began pursuing more opportunities in the educational leadership space. I was honored to step into the role of Assistant Principal at NCH Middle School beginning in the 2024–2025 school year. Over the past ten years, NCH has become my home - I have a deep love for this community, our students, and our staff (that is now like a second family). 

Outside of school, you can find me on the couch with a good book, trying new cookie or cake recipes in the kitchen, or lifting in the gym. I love traveling and exploring new places, but am also glad to currently call Cincinnati home. I'm a lifelong learner with a deep curiosity to learn new things, but am constantly prioritizing expanding my knowledge around education, educational leadership, and best practices to support our staff and students. 

I'm excited to continue supporting our students, staff, and community as we grow together this coming school year.
