North College Hill Scholarship Foundation

Our Shared Mission: To Serve Future Generations

The North College Hill Scholarship Foundation was born from one alumnus’s vision to give back. In 2004, Marvin Kolodzik, a proud member of the NCH Class of 1954, approached the district superintendent with a simple but powerful idea — to create an endowment that would open doors for future generations of Trojans through annual college scholarships.

That same year, Marvin’s classmates rallied behind the cause, contributing $35,000 to launch the first Class of 1954 Endowment. Soon after, another member of the Class of 1954 strengthened the Foundation’s future with an extraordinary $85,000 bequest, setting in motion a tradition of generosity that continues to this day.

Since then, the Foundation has awarded more than $900,000 in scholarships, empowering countless North College Hill graduates to pursue higher education and achieve their dreams. This enduring impact is made possible through the continued support of alumni, friends of NCH, and the dedicated staff of the North College Hill School District — the Foundation’s largest group of annual contributors.

Today, the Foundation proudly provides over twenty scholarships each year, funded through nine endowed scholarships, five annual scholarship funds, and several special awards created by alumni and community partners. Guided by the same spirit of generosity that inspired its founding, the North College Hill Scholarship Foundation remains dedicated to helping today’s students reach their full potential and carry forward the Trojan legacy of excellence and service.
