Superintendent

Welcome to North College Hill City Schools!

Eugene Blalock, Superintendent

George Bernard Shaw said, "Progress is impossible without change, and those who cannot change their minds cannot change anything."

The North College City School District values progress; therefore, we are committed to supporting the physical and mental well-being of our students and staff. Our innovative 4-day Blended Learning Schedule, where our students attend school Tuesday through Friday, brings a host of benefits. It allows K-8th students the opportunity to receive intervention to meet their academic needs and 9th-12th students the opportunity to participate in credit recovery, explore careers and colleges, or seek employment. Importantly, teachers use Mondays to collaborate with peers, using students' data to effectively plan lessons that meet the individual needs of their students. This change ensures that teachers are well-rested and have adequate time to prepare, enabling them to deliver instruction at a high level, better manage the classroom, and create a safe learning environment for the students.

"You don't make progress by standing on the sidelines, whimpering and complaining. You make progress by implementing ideas."

-Shirley Chisholm
