Hall of Fame
Criteria
The North College Hill Hall of Fame was established in 1986 with the following selection criteria:
- Five years removed from participating in or with North College Hill Athletics.
- Participated in North College Hill athletics and contributed in a positive manner to North College Hill athletics and after graduation.

Selection Committee
The process for selecting honorees involves a selection committee, which will compile a roster of 20 potential nominees. Athletic Boosters, selection committee members, and veteran North College Hill High School coaches with at least five years of experience will then cast their votes, with a maximum of 10 honorees to be selected. In order to be chosen, a nominee must receive at least 60% of the votes. The selection committee also has the ability to put forth an individual for special recognition, even if they do not meet the standard criteria.

The first three members of the Hall of Fame are from the North College Hill High School's first graduating class, the Class of 1935. The three Trojans are Daniel Garvin, Milivoy Garvin and Louis Groen.
Daniel Garvin (1986 Inductee)

Marvin Ault
Marvin graduated from North College Hill in 1938 after playing four sports. He earned three varsity awards for football as the Trojans center and became the first Trojan center to score a touchdown. He also earned three varsity awards each in basketball, baseball and track. His senior year he received the senior athletic award. Marvin attended Miami University and played football for Miami before the start of World War II. After the War, Marvin attended the Harvard Business School and then went to work for Proctor and Gamble. He is listed in "Who's Who" in the South and Southwest. Marvin retired to Longwood, Florida.
Bruce Baarendse
Bruce Baarendse, a three-sport star at North College Hill High School (football, basketball, and baseball), graduated in 1978. He then attended the University of Cincinnati on a football scholarship and was a member of the UC Football Program for four years, earning a Bachelor of Science Degree in Physical Education in 1982. Baarendse returned to NCH in 1983 to teach Health & Physical Education and was inducted into the North College Hill High School Hall of Fame in 1986. He was named the NCH Head Football Coach in 1986 and held that position for 29 years (1986-2014), with a career record of 170-119. He won nine League Championships as head coach (00, 01, 03, 04, 06, 07, 09, 10, 11) and in 2001, he became the first NCH Football Coach to lead his team into the OHSAA Playoffs. He coached six NCH football teams into the OHSAA Playoffs and was the 2001 Division 5 Regional Runner-Up. Baarendse won more football games (170) than any coach in the history of NCH Football.
During his entire 32-year teaching career, Baarendse was with North College Hill City School District. He was known as “Coach B” because of his commitment to the NCH Athletic Program and coached football, basketball, baseball, track, and softball at NCH. He also served as NCH Athletic Director. Baarendse was a part of the NCH School District for over 50 years as a student-athlete, teacher, and coach. On December 3, 2015, Bruce Baarendse “Coach B” passed away.
On the evening of September 9, 2016, the current football stadium was named after Football Coach Bruce Baarendse. Now named “Bruce ‘Coach B’ Baarendse Memorial Stadium” in his memory and dedication to the North College Hill Schools and Athletic Programs. Before this, it was just simply called “North College Hill High School Stadium.” This took place on a Friday night game against Northwest High School, the Trojans lost the game 38-19. Family, friends, NCH alumni, and community members were in attendance. The Baarendse Family members included his wife, Nancy, daughter, Christine, and son, Steven.
Bruce Baarendse, also known as "Coach B," was a standout athlete during his high school years at North College Hill. He earned four varsity letters in football and four in basketball, including All-State Honorable Mention and a spot in the East-West All-Star Game during his senior year of football. In basketball, he earned All-City honors as a senior and led the city in rebounding during the 1977-78 season. He finished his basketball career at NCH with 1,014 rebounds, which is second all-time. He also earned three varsity letters in baseball.
Ross Burton
Ross played basketball, football, soccer and track while in high school before graduating in 1937. In football, Ross was the Trojans leading scorer two straight years and earned the nickname "Triple Threat Man" because of his ability to score running, passing or kicking. Ross retired from the Gibson Greeting Card Company after working there 50 years. His moto that he lives by is "It's better to wear out than rust Out".
Greg Butler
1969 graduate of North College Hill, Greg played football, basketball and baseball for North College Hill. Greg was selected All League in all three sports and was the Trojans MVP in baseball. Greg played on two league championship football teams his junior and senior years at NCH. He attended the University of Cincinnati on a football scholarship. Greg returned to North College Hill as a coach and coached in the football and basketball programs which he considers a very rewarding experience.
Patricia Ann Turner Covode
Trish graduated form North College Hill in 1961. At NCH, Trish played the following GAA sports; field hockey, volleyball, basketball and track. Trish attended the University of Cincinnati where she played field hockey, basketball, softball and participated on the synchronised swim team. During the summer, she coached swimming in North College Hill. Trish graduated from the University of Cincinnati and taught first at Colerain then Greenhills. At both schools she coached several different sports. Married, she had three children.
Sam Cox
Sam graduated form North College Hill in 1949 after playing football and basketball for four years. Sam was not only a good athlete but a very strong student. He received the Bausch and Lomb Award for physics his senior year. After graduation, Sam attended Fisk University and earned a degree in Chemistry. Sam retired from the Food and Drug Administration after a 30 year career with the FDA.
Gary Franklin
Gary graduated from North College Hill in 1968 after playing basketball and track for four years. Gary also played football for one year while at NCH. Gary was selected All League and All City all four years he played basketball. His senior year he also was selected to the Post Times and the WCPO All Star teams.
Ollie Franklin
Ollie graduated in 1938. He played football (1935, 1936, 1937) and baseball (1936, 1937, 1938) for the Trojans. Baseball at North College Hill was started while Ollie was in school and he got to be one of the Trojans first pitchers. He starred on the football team and helped the Trojans win the 1936 Class B Champions of Hamilton County.
Bert Guenther
"Big Bert" graduated with the class of 1955. While at North College Hill, Bert played both basketball and baseball. He was an All-City baseball player and attended Miami University on a baseball scholarship. Bert was a pitching ace from Miami and after his college career, he signed with the Washington Senators. After a four year baseball career, he took his bonus money he earned and completed his college dreams earing a Doctorate in Zoology. After college, his career choice led him to work for the Atomic Energy Commission.
Ron Harmon
Ron graduated in 1956 and while at NCH, Ron played football, basketball , baseball and ran track. Ron was an All City basketball selection. After high school, Ron was instrumental in starting the NCH Track Club, the Public Recreation Basketball League, NCH S.A.Y Soccer Program; and as a member of the North College Hill Board of Education, Ron got soccer established as a North College Hill interscholastic sport. Ron has served OHSAA athletics as a soccer and basketball official and has worked state soccer contests. Ron's five sons all graduated from North College Hill.
Charlie Hayes
Charlie graduated from North College Hill in the early 1940's. Charlie participated in football, baseball and track while at North College Hill. He is considered an outstanding track and field participant, possibly NCH's best up to that date and for a long time to come. At the time of the induction, Charlie was living at the Soldier's Home in Marysville, Ohio.
Van Hill
Van graduated from North College Hill in 1953 after playing football, basketball, baseball and participating in track. He was All League in basketball and football plus recognized as an all star by the Post-Times. As a high hurdler in track, Van qualified to the State Track Meet. He also participated on the Glendale Ball Club where he participated in the Perennial City and State and National Championships. At the time of his induction, he was working as a plumber, a career choice that he has had for 25 years. Van and his wife have four children and at the time of the induction, one grand child.
Jim Hissom
Jim served North College Hill City Schools from 1960 to 1983 as the Band Director. During his tenure, Jim's marching bands preformed at 207 high school football games, away and home. His pep band played at 207 home boy's basketball games and contributed to a very lively atmosphere at the NCH home games. His Pep Band led all NCH per assemblies and performed in the yearly Pow Wow and Homecoming parades. For a small school, his bands were first class.
Janeen Johnson
Janeen graduated from North College Hill in 1983, after earning 11 varsity letters in volleyball, basketball, tennis, and softball. She continued her academic and athletic career at The College of Mount St. Joseph before returning to NCH to coach volleyball, basketball, and softball.
Janeen Johnson had an outstanding athletic career in high school, earning several awards in volleyball, basketball, and softball. She was the captain of the volleyball and basketball teams, and was named Most Valuable Performer in both sports during her senior year. In volleyball, she also received All-League honors in her junior and senior years. Similarly, in basketball, she received All-League honors in her junior and senior years. Additionally, she was named Most Valuable Performer in softball during her senior year, and received All-League honors in both her junior and senior years.
Ralph Kemphaus
Ralph Kemphaus was a multi-sport varsity head coach at North College Hill. He served as the varsity head coach for boys basketball, baseball and softball. He is the all-time leader of varsity boys basketball wins at North College Hill with 268 wins. Ralph was instrumental in displaying banners in the gym to recognize team accomplishments.
As the varsity head coach for boys basketball for 17 seasons, from 1975 to 1984 and 1994 to 2002, he had an overall record of 268-120. He led the Trojans to ten league championships (in 1978, 1979, 1980, 1983, 1984, 1995, 1996, 1997, 1998, 2002), eight sectional championships (in 1977, 1978, 1979, 1980, 1983, 1984, 1995, 1996), and three district championships (in 1977, 1980, 1995). Ralph was also named the League Coach of the Year four times, the Southwest Ohio Coach of the Year twice, and the Cincinnati Post Coach of the Year and Cincinnati Enquirer Coach of the Year once each.
Ralph was also the varsity head coach for baseball for three seasons, from 1976 to 1978, and the varsity head coach for softball for three seasons, from 1979 to 1981.
Paul Klusmeier
Paul graduated from North College Hill In 1971. While in high school, Paul participated in football, basketball and baseball and was selected All League in all three sports. The 1970 baseball team became North College Hill's first baseball League Champion. As a football player, Paul set the school record for pass receptions at 41. After graduation, Paul attended the University of Cincinnati and graduated in 1976 with a degree in Criminal Justice. He became a Cincinnati Police officer, and he continued his education earning a degree in law from Chase College of Law in 1983.
Carl Kunkel
Carl attended North College Hill schools in the 1930's and then returned to work at NCH Schools as a Physical Education and Health teacher plus a coach. Carl did not graduate from North College Hill due to the fact that his father died during his junior year. Carl went to work to support his family and attended night school at Western Hills to get his high school diploma. Carl attended Ohio University, graduating in 1948. His college education was extended by World War II. Carl was in the army. Carl began teaching and coaching at North College Hill in 1950. As a coach, he coached football, junior high basketball, golf and girls basketball.
Toni Behrle Lymangrover
Toni graduated from North College Hill High School in 1963. As a student, Toni participated in the GAA sports of volleyball, basketball and bowling during all of her years at North College Hill. As a Girl's Athletic Association member, she served as Vice President of the organization.
Tony Mastrullo
Tony was a four sports athlete while at North College Hill. He participated in football, basketball and baseball all four of his high school years. His junior and senior years, Tony was also a member of the North College Hill track team. Athletics were such a part of Tony's life, that away from school he was involved in swimming and diving and also boxing. He was fortunate during his high school career to have three NCH Hall of Fame coaches, Coach Thinnes, Coach Kunkel and Coach Yerkes as coaches.
Tom Matson
Tom graduated from North College Hill in 1948. As an athlete, Tom participated four years in both football and basketball. Tom added track to his sports resume during his junior and senior years. Tom was very involved in school and served on North College Hill's student council all four years in high school and his senior year, Tom was President of Student Council. After graduation, Tom open up his own business in North College Hill and he ran the business until he retired.
Robert Maybury
Robert "Moose" graduated from North College Hill in 1956. He participated in football, baseball and basketball all four years in high school and was All League in football and basketball 2 years. Robert also was All City two years in basketball. Robert participated in track for three years. His senior year, Robert was selected to play in the All City All Star game for basketball. Robert participated on the North College Hill basketball team that advanced to the SW Ohio District finals where the Trojans were defeated by Lockland Wayne High School.
Ken Meier
A 1968 North College Hill graduate, Ken played football, basketball and baseball all four years, starting his junior and senior years in all three sports. Ken was selected All League his senior year in football, basketball and baseball. and was named Honorary Captain of the All League football team. North College Hill presented Ken with the Sports Pennant his senior year after Ken accumulated the most ever sports points for North College Hill. Ken attended Eastern Kentucky University upon graduation from high school and letter two years in football while at Eastern Kentucky. Ken returned to Ohio after college and lives in Lebanon.
Leon Murray
Leon is considered the greatest all around athlete to ever wear a Trojan athletic uniform. Leon lettered all four years in football and basketball and also earned letters in track and baseball. Leon was named one of the top 50 high school athletes to play in the Cincinnati area by the Cincinnati Enquirer. Leon was selected All League and All City in football, basketball and baseball. He was on the All District teams for both football and basketball. Leon led the city in scoring his senior year in both football and basketball. Leon established numerous school records during his NCH career. Upon graduation in 1974, Leon accepted a football scholarship to the University of Kentucky while turning down an offer from the Kansas City Royals to play professional baseball.
Tom Nieporte
A 1947 North College Hill graduate that played on the Trojans golf team that advanced to the OHSAA State tournament. The Trojans placed 2nd in 1947 after winning the MVIL League Championship and the District Championship. As he concluded his high school career, he participated in the National Caddy Tournament and finished second. After high school, he attended The Ohio State University and helped OSU win the NCAA Golf championship in 1951. Tom continued his golf career after college and was on the PGA tour for several years. Tom is the only North College Hill grad to play in the Masters and in 1967 he won the Bob Hope Desert Classic. Eventually, he ended up as the Club Pro at Winged Foot Country Club in New York. During his tenure there, Winged Foot hosted one PGA Championship and five Open championships.
Carolee Faison Ochsner
Carolee participated in the Girl's Athletic Association sports program during her high school career at North College Hill. She was on the GAA Basketball and Volleyball teams. Carolee was voted the most Athletic Senior member of GAA during her senior year. She graduated in 1964 from North College Hill.
Clete Peters
Clete is a 1948 Trojan graduate. His top sport was baseball and he was on the North College Hill baseball team for four years while maintaining a .600 batting average for all four years. Clete was on the football, basketball and track teams as well as participating on the golf team that advanced to the OHSAA State Championships. Like many of the athletes in the 1940's, Clete got to play for NCH Hall of Fame coach Nelson Thinnes.
Wesley Price
Wesley is a 1953 North College Hill graduate. During his high school career, Wesley was on the Trojan football, basketball and track teams. He was a four year participant in each sport. During his senior year, Wesley was a member of both the 4 x 220 yard relay and 4 x 440 yard relay teams that were Class B State Champions. The 4 x 440 relay team set a state record at 3:35. After high school, Wesley attended Miami University and graduated in 1957 with a degree Microbiology. While at Miami he played football for one year and track for two years. After, college he was hired as a Microbiologist by Procter and Gamble,
Roger Puccine
Roger was an outstanding football and track participant at North College Hill. He was an outstanding tackle and received a football scholarship from The Ohio State University. A 1952 North College Hill graduate, he was All City in both football and track. His strength led to Roger competing in the OHSAA State Track Meet in the shot. During football and track seasons, when Roger had time he would help coach the junior high teams, While in high school, he also participated in basketball.
Robert Reuss
Robert was the Trojans first football coach, starting the football program in 1934. He was also the first basketball coach during the 1934-35 season and served in that capacity for eight seasons (1934-1942). Robert was the Trojans Athletic Director from 1934 to 1941. He also coached girl's basketball. Eventually, Robert left NCH to work at Walnut Hills, but as a community member he became mayor of North College Hill and served 12 years (1948-1960). He remained very active in North College Hill activities.
Donna Schmadel
A 1971 North College Hill graduate, Donna played field hockey, volleyball, basketball and softball all four years in high school. Donna was president of GAA, a National Merit Scholarship Honorable Mention and Valedictorian of the Class of 1971. After high school, she attended Ohio University and played basketball and softball for OU. She played on two undefeated OU softball teams. Donna graduated Summa Cum Laude form Ohio University in 1975 with a degree in Journalism. She received the President's Honor Award for her academic excellence. After college, she continued her softball career playing amateur softball and was on two National Championship teams. In 1981, Cincinnati Softball News named her the best Offensive Player and Co-Most Valuable Player in the Cincinnati area.
Craig Smith
"Smitty" graduated from North College Hill in 1969 after an outstanding football career at North College Hill. The Trojan football team his junior year was League Champions and his senior year they were League Co-champions. Craig was selected to the All League and All City teams his junior and senior years. Craig was also a member of the track team. After high school, he attended the University of Cincinnati on a football scholarship and started three years for the Bearcat's offensive line. After graduating from UC in 1973, "Smitty" eventual returned to North College Hill as a teacher and head football coach, wrestling coach and junior high basketball coach.
Randy Smith
Randy was a running back on the 1968 football League Championship team. His 345 points was second best in the city and resulted in Randy being selected All League and All City his senior year. Randy played football all four years in high school. Besides football, Randy also played basketball and baseball all four years in high school. Randy graduated in 1968 and then attended the United States Naval Academy where he played football for three years and ran track one year. He is a 1972 Naval Academy graduate with a degree in Aerospace Engineering.
Nelson Thinnes
A 1939 North College Hill graduate, Nelson lettered in football, basketball and baseball for the Trojans. He also became the first NCH athlete to accumulate over 2000 athletic points. After high school, Nelson attended Miami University and then got his masters from the University of Cincinnati. He returned to North College Hill as a coach, coaching football, golf, baseball and basketball. He eventually became Athletic director at Taft, Aiken and Mt Healthy High Schools. As an Athletic Director, he was a president of the Southwest Athletic Directors Association and a board member of the Ohio High School Athletic Administrators Association (now the OIAAA). He was involved in the development of the National Athletic Administrators Association. The OIAAA now offers a yearly scholarship, the Nelson Thinnes Scholarship, as a tribute to the work that Nelson did for high school athletics in the state of Ohio.
Jesse Townsend
Jesse graduated from North College hill in 1974 and received a full football scholarship to Purdue University. While at North College Hill, Jesse earned three letters for the Trojan football team. As a receiver, he set all the major school receiving records. Jesse was selected All League and All City in football his junior and senior years. Besides football, Jesse letter for the Trojans in basketball and in track. In 1973, Jesse was on the school record setting 4 x 100 relay team.
Alfred C. Tucker
Mr. Tucker, as he was referred to by the North College Hill student body, was the Trojan's principal from 1946 to 1957. Mr. Tucker received his Bachelor of Science degree from Lebanon University, and then received a Bachelor of Arts degree from Wilmington College. After this, he attended The Ohio State University to earn his masters. Before coming to North College Hill, he taught at Harrison, Hamilton and Lebanon and was principal at Mason, Kings and Franklin High Schools. Mr. Tucker, as principal of North College Hill High School, was a tremendous supporter and promoter of high school athletics.
Arthur Weimer
Mr. Art Weimer is in a special class by himself. He is the Trojans "super fan". The Athletic Boosters requested that Art be inducted into the Hall of Fame as tribute to the hours and hours of support he has given the Trojans over the years and will continue in the future. A North College Hill resident that because of his great loyalty to the Trojans is known by the coaches and student athletes. He also helped on many of the North College Hill Athletic Boosters fund raisers.
Bob Wells
Bob is a 1963 North College Hill graduate. He lettered on the Trojans golf, basketball and baseball teams, earning three letters from each sport. His senior year, Bob played on one of the better NCH baseball teams and was selected All League and All City. After college, he went to work for The Kroger Company where he was Operations Specialist in the Management Information Systems.
Larry Westerfeld
A 1967 Trojan graduate, Larry played football and track for North College Hill. He earned three letters in football and in track. As a member of the Trojan track team, he set the record for the 400 yard dash which was never surpassed. He also participated for North College Hill in the Ohio High School Athletic Association State Track Meet. After high school, Larry attended the University of Cincinnati and ran track for the University of Cincinnati. After high school in went into education and eventually became an administrator in the Mt. Healthy School District.
Rick Winkler
A 1963 North College Hill graduate, Rick was a multi sport athlete for the Trojans. He played football, basketball and baseball, earning letters in each sport. He was selected to the All League and All City Teams.
Lennie Wirtz
Len played on the Trojans two State Runner-up golf teams back in the late 1940's. Besides golf, Lennie was on the Trojans football, basketball and baseball teams. Lennie broke Nelson Thinnes record for the Trojans Athletic Points. He was selected All League in basketball and football. He attended Miami University after high school and while in college became involved in high school officiating. He eventually became a college basketball official and officiated several NCAA final four tournament games plus he worked for the Atlantic Coast Conference as an official. He did serve several years as the Director of the Ladies Professional Golf Association.
Clinton "Pete" Yerkes
Starting coaching at North College Hill in 1949 and coached through 1962. He coached basketball and track for North College Hill and was inducted into the Track and Field Coaches Hall of Fame. Twice, Pete was selected as basketball coach of the year while at North College Hill. Pete was instrumental in forming that first Trojan Booster organization. During the summer, he ran the North College Hill pool for the community.
First Booster Organization
NCH's First Booster Organization which consisted of Vic Cable, Joe Casagrande, George McLean, Larry Baker, Robert Kiefel, Nelson Thinnes and Charlie Ashing. They constructed the football press box, wired the field lights and in essence build the first NCH football field. On many Saturday's and Sunday's, they would be at the stadium climbing light poles, hammering, and nailing to get the stadium ready.
Roger and Linda Braunwart
They were inducted into the Hall of Fame because of their long term commitment to North College Hill Interscholastic Athletics. Together, they have served on many booster committees and worked many booster activities both at school and far away from school. They were both very active in the creation of the original North College Hill Hall of Fame. Roger also has been part of the crew that runs the downs markers at football games. Linda and Roger are both North College Hill Alumni.
Chuck Broadnax
Chuck graduated in 1986 after playing basketball for four years. He was selected All-City and All-League for three years and his senior year, he was selected First team All State, Player of the Year in the Southwest District and Western Metro Conference. Chuck had over 1000 points scored and 1000 rebounds in his basketball career. After graduation, Chuck attended George Mason University and played in the NCAA Tournament in 1989.
Gayle Slaughter Clyburn
Gayle participated in girls athletics prior to the girls sports being recognized as interscholastic sports by the Ohio High School Athletic Association. When Gayle participated, she played field hockey, volleyball, basketball and softball as part of the Girl's Athletic Association (GAA). GAA awards were given based on a point system and Gayle was the top GAA point earner her junior and senior years at NCH. She also was selected Field Hockey MVP her senior year and Rookie of the Year her 9th grade year. She served as President and Vice President of the GAA organization. Besides this, Gayle was also a member of the North College Hill Honor Society. After college Gayle returned to North College Hill as a Health and Physical Education teacher and has coached several sports for the Trojans.
Ulysses Coleman Jr.
Ulysses played football for the Trojans in the early 1960's and as a Trojan running back, he set the single season record for rushing yards at 1740. At the time of his induction into the Hall of Fame in 1996, this record still stood. Ulysses also average a school record 11.75 yards per carry. Ulysses also set the scoring record for the Trojans at 136 points in a season. During his senior year, Ulysses led the the city in rushing and was second in scoring. Ulysses was selected All League and All City. After high school, Ulysses worked for General Motors and as an North College Hill Alumni, he made sure his children attended North College Hill.
Steve Collier
Steve Collier was the Varsity Head Coach of the 1989 OHSAA State Runner-Up Division III Boys Basketball Team. He led the team to finish the 1988-89 season with a 25-2 record, which was the best in the history of North College Hill Boys Basketball at the time of Steve's induction. Steve served as the Varsity Head Coach for five seasons from 1984-1989 with a 90-31 overall record, which resulted in a 74% winning percentage. He earned three league championships in 1985, 1988, and 1989, three sectional championships in 1985, 1986, 1988, and 1989, two district championships in 1986 and 1989, and one regional championship in 1989. Additionally, Steve was honored as the Three-Time League Coach of the Year in 1985, 1988, and 1989 and was recognized as the Southwest District Coach of the Year. At the time of Steve's induction, he was a principal in the Norwood school system.
Paul "Rick" Doxsey
Rick graduated from North College Hill in 1973. He played football, basketball and baseball four years for the Trojans. Rick's senior year, he was team captain of the football team and was selected All League and All City as a linebacker. Rick played in the Football East-West All Star Game. Rick set two defensive school records for the Trojans. He had 292 solo tackles in his career and a season high 141 tackles his senior year. At the time of his induction, Rick was a pipe fitter working in Cincinnati.
Gregg Hall
Gregg played football, basketball and baseball for four years earning a total of ten varsity awards. Gregg quarterbacked the 1976 & 1977 teams that went 8-2 both years. Gregg's total passing yards are 2045 on 135 completions. This made Gregg one of the top five all time offensive leaders in Trojan football history. Gregg received a football scholarship to Morehead University and graduated in 1983 with a degree in Environmental Science. At the time of his induction, Gregg was an Environmental Specialist with the Florida Power and Light Company.
Dave Harmon
Dave Harmon graduated in 1989 and was a multi-sport athlete, playing soccer, basketball, and baseball during his high school career. In basketball, Dave was a standout player, earning 1st Team All-League honors during his junior and senior years, as well as All-City recognition. During his senior year, Dave's team was the Division III State Runner-Up, and he was selected to the Division III All-Tournament State Team. He also played in the East-West All-Star Game during his senior year and scored a total of 1,240 career points. In soccer, Dave was a 1st Team All-League Goalie during his junior and senior years and also received All-City recognition. Finally, in baseball, Dave was named an All-City Pitcher during his sophomore year.
Denise McCarthy
Denise McCarthy graduated in 1991 and was a talented multi-sport athlete during her high school years. She played soccer for four years and earned 1st Team All-League honors each year. In basketball, Denise played for four years, earning 1st Team All-League recognition during her junior and senior years, and 2nd Team All-League during her sophomore year. She was also selected to the Cincinnati All-Star Team for Seniors. Additionally, Denise participated in track during her freshman and sophomore years. In softball, Denise played for four years and received 1st Team All-League recognition during her senior year. She also had the highest batting average on the team during her junior year.
Marchelle Ruff
Marchelle Ruff graduated in 1986 and is currently an Administrative Assistant. During her high school years, Marchelle was a talented multi-sport athlete. In volleyball, she played for four years, earning two varsity letters, serving as the senior captain, and receiving All-League recognition during her junior and senior years. Marchelle was also selected to play in the East-West All-Star Game during her senior year and played on the Junior Olympic Team. In basketball, Marchelle played for four years and was a standout player. She earned All-League recognition during her junior and senior years, All-District recognition, and was named 2nd Team All-State. Marchelle was also recognized as the Cincinnati Post Player of the Year and was selected to play on the International Sports Exchange Team, which traveled to China. She holds the record for the #1 All-Time scorer at NCH with 844 career points and the #1 All-Time rebounder at NCH with 1,074 career rebounds. Marchelle received a four-year scholarship to play basketball at Drake University. In addition, Marchelle played four years of softball and ran track her senior year.
Dwayne Crutchfield
Dwayne is a 1978 graduate of North College Hill. He was one of the most explosive running backs in southwest Ohio his junior and senior year. His 299 yards rushing against Amelia in 1977 is still the school record. Besides football, Dwayne played on the North College Hill basketball team and was a member of the 1977 District Championship team. Dwayne went to Iowa State, and in 1980 he was tenth in the nation in rushing. Dwayne was drafted by the New York Jets and is the only Trojan athlete to play in the NFL. Dwayne is currently involved in the restaurant business.
Bill Emeigh
Bill served as an assistant football coach for North College Hill either as a paid assistant or a volunteer assistant since 1970. At his induction, that gave Bill 36 years of coaching football for the Trojans. Bill also served as Assitant Athletic Director at North College Hill since 1989. He has been very active in both the football coaches' association and the athletic directors' associations. His involvement with the SW Football Coaches Associaiton helped numerous NCH players to be selected to the East-West All Star game. Bill has been a coach in the East-West All Star game three times. Bill also served on the SW Athletic Director's Association and the Ohio Interscholastic Athletic Administrators' hospitality committees.
Leslie Graves
Leslie is a 1997 North College Hill graduate who as a student athlete earned 14 varsity letters in four different sports. The sports were volleyball, basketball, softball and track. Leslie earned several honors as a Trojan athlete. She was First Team Miami Valley Conference in both basketball and softball. She was Division III All City in softball her senior year, a year that she maintained a 603 batting average and stole 56 bases. At the same time she was a District track qualifier in the 100 meter dash. The Cincinnati Enquirer selected her as one of the 100 Top Athletes in the area.
Tom Harmon
Tom graduated from North College Hill in 1985 and during his high school career, Tom participated in soccer, basketball and baseball. Tom played on three straight HCL National Division Basketball Championship teams and was selected All League his junior and senior years. Tom's senior year in basketball, he was selected to the Second Team SW District Team and played in the Coaches' All star game. As a baseball player, Tom was selected First Team All League his junior and senior years. Tom did play two years on the newly formed North College Hill soccer team.
Joe Nickel
Joe was appointed the North College Hill Athletic Director in 1979 and retired from this position in 2010. During the 31 years Joe served as Athletic Director, soccer and bowling were added, several stadium and gymnasium improvements were made, the NCH Hall of Fame was started in 1986 and North College Hill instituted a drug testing program. Joe served the OHSAA as a District tournament manager in volleyball and as a District, Regional and State tournament manager in Soccer. He served the Southwest Ohio Athletic Directors Association twice as President and for nine years represented the SW Athletic Directors on the Ohio Interscholastic Athletic Administrator's Association Executive Committee. This led to Joe being the OIAAA's representative to the OHSAA's Track and Field Rules Committee in 2000. Joe received the National Interscholastic Athletic Administrators Award of Merit in 2002 and was inducted into the OIAAA Hall of Fame in 2010.
Stan Thompson
Stan, a 1968 North College Hill graduate, quarterbacked the Trojan's 1967 League Championship football team. Stan was the teams MVP as a junior and as a senior , he was named to the First Team All League Team and the First Team Post All City Team. Besides football, Stan was a member of the Trojan baseball team and named MVP his senior year. After high school, Stan attended Xavier University on a football scholarship where he graduated with a degree in accounting. Stan entered the business world and has received the Black Achievers Award both in Cincinnati and Louisville.
Football Chain Crew
115 years of total service to the athletic department. The Trojan Football Chain Crew consisted of Denny Ehrhardt (30 years of service), Mark Klusmeier (23 years of service) and Darwin Yung (30 years of service) were recognized for their service to the school and inducted into the Hall of Fame in 2007. Roger Braunwart (32 years of service) is also a member of the "chain crew" but already is a member of the NCH Hall of Fame. They volunteered to run the downs markers during varsity football games. This expert and professionally acting crew is well received by football officials that visit NCH on Friday nights.
Jim Agin
Jim, an active member of the North College Hill Athletic Boosters, stepped up as a volunteer to help as an assistant trainer for our athletic squads. He took the necessary classes and stayed part of the North College Hill Athletic Program for 20 years, long after his children graduated. Soon after starting his volunteer work with the Athletic Department, Jim started a campaign to get the Athletic Department an ice machine. Jim attended many Board of Education meetings until finally an ice machine was purchased for the High School. Today, the ice machine is taken for granted, but it was a hard battle fought by Jim to get the machine for the Athletic Department. Most important though was his service to our student athletes, taking care of minor injuries, helping with taping, and making sure that the proper athletic supplies were at our games (home or away).
David Benedict
David Benedict graduated in 2002 and was a standout athlete during his high school years. He played soccer and was named to the Miami Valley Conference 1st Team during his sophomore, junior, and senior seasons. During his senior year, David was recognized as the Miami Valley Conference Player of the Year in soccer and the Player of the Year for the city of Cincinnati Division III. He is the all-time leader with 87 career goals and his brother, Kevin, who is also an NCH graduate, is second all-time with 82 career goals. David is second at NCH with 33 goals in a season, with Kevin holding the top spot with 42 goals in a season. During his junior and senior seasons in 2000 and 2001, David led Cincinnati in all divisions with goals. He was also named the MVP of the city All-Star Senior Game, which included all divisions. David was a First Team All-State selection in 2001 during his senior year. Additionally, during the 2001 football season, David kicked 52 points, which is the most all-time at NCH.
Damon Butler
Damon Butler graduated in 2008 and was a talented basketball player during his high school career. He started for the Trojans as a freshman and made the winning basket against Portsmouth in the State Tournament. During his junior year, Damon made a three-pointer at the buzzer in the State Semi-Finals. He was recognized with All-League, All-City, and All-District honors in both 2007 and 2008. In 2008, Damon was selected to the OHSAA All-Tournament Team and was named 3rd Team All-State. He finished his career with a varsity record of 91-14 (2004-2008) and holds the record for the most wins in a career with 91. Damon and his team won three consecutive Boys Basketball State Championships in 2005, 2006, and 2007.
William "Billie" Butler Jr.
William "Billie" Butler Jr. graduated in 1966 and was a standout athlete during his high school years. As a senior, he served as captain of the football, basketball, and baseball teams. In basketball, Billie was recognized as 2nd Team Hamilton County Suburban Athletic Association. He also participated in track during his freshman, sophomore, and junior years. In football, Billie earned Hamilton County Suburban Athletic Association All-League honors and was recognized as All-City by both The Enquirer and The Post. He went on to attend Washburn University (KS) on a partial football scholarship and played for four years.
Amber Flynn
Amber Flynn graduated in 2003 and earned a basketball scholarship to Bowling Green State University. She was a standout basketball player during her high school years, scoring 1,445 career points. Amber was a member of the only Girls Basketball Team in North College Hill history to advance to the Ohio High School Athletic Association State Tournament Final Four. She earned 1st Team Miami Valley Conference honors during her junior and senior years and was recognized as the Miami Valley Conference Player of the Year. Amber was also named 1st Team All-City during her junior and senior years and 1st Team Southwest District during the same years. She was recognized as 3rd Team All-State Division III during her sophomore year with an average of 16.5 points per game. Amber also played volleyball, earning 1st Team Miami Valley Conference and Miami Valley Conference Player of the Year recognition. She was named 1st Team All-City and 2nd Team Southwest District and 3rd Team All-State. In track and field, Amber was the Miami Valley Conference High Jump Champion during her freshman year. She also played softball and received 1st Team Miami Valley Conference recognition during her sophomore year.
Donnie Johnson
Donnie Johnson graduated in 2002 and was a standout football player during his high school years. He holds several records, including a total offense career record of 7,430 yards, a season record of 3,239 yards, most yards rushing in a career with 6,353 yards, most yards rushing in a season with 2,961 yards, most touchdowns in a career with 73, and most touchdowns in a season with 35. Donnie also holds the record for most points in a career with 438 points and most points in a season with 210 points. He was recognized as 1st Team Miami Valley Conference during his sophomore and junior years and again during his senior year, where he was also named Player of the Year. Additionally, he received 1st Team All-City honors during his junior and senior years and 1st Team Southwest District recognition during his senior year. Donnie was also named 2nd Team All-State during his senior year. He led the Trojans to the playoffs during his senior year, and the team was a Regional Runner-Up. Donnie went on to earn a football scholarship to Penn State University and played for four years.
Jamie Mahaffey
Jamie Mahaffey was the Varsity Head Boys Basketball Coach of the Three-Time OHSAA State Champions in 2005, 2006 & 2007. During his 12 seasons as Varsity Head Coach, from 2002-2014, he had an impressive 178-96 overall record. Jamie led his team to three League Championships (04, 05, 11), six Sectional Championships (05, 06, 07, 08, 09, 11), four District Championships (05, 06, 07, 08), and three Regional Championships (05, 06, 07). He was recognized as the Division III State Champion coach in 2005, 2006, and 2007. Additionally, Jamie was named the Miami Valley Conference Coach of the Year (Scarlet Division) in 2003-2004 and 2004-2005, Southwest District Coach of the Year and Cincinnati Enquirer Coach of the Year in 2006-2007. Under Jamie's leadership, the team finished third in the USA Today Super 25 High School Rankings in 2006.
Michele Miller
Michele Miller graduated in 2003 and earned a basketball scholarship to Xavier University. She was an exceptional basketball player during her high school career, scoring 1,571 career points and 490 season points, and having 290 career assists and 103 season assists, which are all second all-time records for North College Hill Girls Basketball Program. Michele was a member of the only girls basketball team in North College Hill history to advance to the Ohio High School Athletic Association State Tournament Final Four. She earned 1st Team Miami Valley Conference recognition during her freshman, sophomore, junior, and senior years, as well as Miami Valley Conference Player of the Year honors during her junior and senior years. Additionally, she was recognized as 1st Team Southwest District during her sophomore and senior years and 3rd Team All-State Division III with an undisclosed points per game average during her junior year. During her senior year, Michele was named 1st Team All-State Division with an undisclosed points per game average, and her team advanced to the Ohio High School Athletic Association State Final Four. In volleyball, Michele also received recognition, earning 1st Team Miami Valley Conference honors during her sophomore, junior, and senior years and being named Miami Valley Conference Player of the Year during her sophomore year. She was recognized as 1st Team Cincinnati Enquirer during her junior year and 1st Team Southwest District during her sophomore, junior, and senior years. During her senior year, Michele was named Southwest District Player of the Year and North South Player of the Year.
Mike Nickel
Mike Nickel graduated in 1989 and was an outstanding track and soccer athlete during his high school years. During his junior season, he received 1st Team All-League honors for track and became the School Record Holder for 1600 Meters and 800 Meters. He was also the League Champion for 800 Meters and 1600 Meters and a Regional Qualifier for 1600 Meters. In his senior season, Mike was the League Champion for 800 Meters and 1600 Meters, and he became the District Champion for both events. He also placed 2nd at Regionals in 1600 Meters and 4th in the Ohio High School Athletic Association State Track Meet in 1600 Meters. Mike received All-City recognition from Cincinnati Post and Cincinnati Enquirer for his accomplishments in track. Additionally, Mike participated in soccer all four years and earned 2nd Team All-League honors during his senior year.
Bill Walker
Bill Walker, a former North College Hill High School student, graduated in 2006 and is well-known for his achievements in basketball. He was part of the Boys Basketball State Champion team (Division III) in 2004-2005 and 2005-2006 and was selected to the Ohio High School Athletic Association All-Tournament Team in both years. In 2005, he was named 1st Team Miami Valley Conference and All-City, and in 2006, he earned All-City and All-District honors. Additionally, he was named 1st Team All-State Division III in 2006 and was the Most Valuable Player of the 2006 State Tournament. Bill was also recognized on the national level, receiving 2nd Team Parade All-American in 2006, USA Today All-USA High School Boys Basketball All-Junior Team in 2006, and EA Sports High School Boys Basketball 1st Team in 2006. He scored 1,090 career points during his high school career and earned a basketball scholarship to attend Kansas State University. In the 2008 NBA Draft, Bill was selected 47th overall pick in the second round by the Washington Wizards and played in the NBA for five seasons with three teams - Boston, New York, and Miami.
Anthony "Tony" Wright
Anthony "Tony" Wright graduated in 1993 and earned 12 varsity letters during his high school career. He was the first athlete in the Southwest Ohio Region to be selected by the Southwest Ohio Coaches Association to participate in football, basketball, and baseball All-Star games during his senior year. In football, he was named 1st Team Southern Buckeye Conference Quarterback for his sophomore and junior seasons, 1st Team Southern Buckeye Conference Defensive Back for his sophomore and junior seasons, and 1st Team All-City Defensive Back as a junior. He was also named 1st Team All-City Cincinnati Post as a senior, 2nd Team All-City Cincinnati Enquirer as a senior, Southwest District Quarterback as a junior, and was part of the S.W.O.F.C.A. East-West All-Star Team during his senior year. In basketball, he was named 1st Team Southern Buckeye Conference during his sophomore and junior seasons, 1st Team All-City Cincinnati Enquirer as a senior, Southwest All-District as a senior, and was part of the S.W.O.F.C.A. East-West All-Star Team as a senior. He was also named Honorable Mention All-State Division III as a senior, scoring his 1,000th point on February 13, 1993, against Seven Hills, and scoring a total of 1,068 career points. In baseball, he was named 1st Team Southern Buckeye Conference during his sophomore and junior seasons, All-League Miami Valley Conference as a senior, 1st Team Cincinnati Post as a junior and senior, 2nd Team Cincinnati Enquirer as a junior and senior, was part of the S.W.O.F.C.A. East-West All-Star Team as a senior, and was a Mizuno High School All-American Catcher as a senior.
Rodney Bedinghaus
Rodney Bedinghaus graduated from North College Hill in 1988. During his time there, he earned 9 varsity letters in football (3), basketball (2), and baseball (4). In football, he played as an Offensive Tackle and was named All-City in 1986 and 1987, All-Southwest Ohio in 1986 and 1987, and 1st Team All-State in 1987. He also participated in the East/West Senior All-Star Game in 1988. In basketball, he was part of the League and Sectional Champions team in 1988. In baseball, he played as a catcher and was part of the Sectional Champions team in 1988. After graduating, he played football at Urbana University on an athletic scholarship.
Mack Griffin
Mack Griffin graduated from North College Hill in 1990 and was awarded the "Yes 95" scholarship. In football, he was a 2nd team All-League player in 1989. In basketball, he was a 1st team All-League player in 1990 and received the Coaches Award that same year. Griffin was also nominated to the McDonald’s All American High School Basketball Team in 1990. He was part of the League, Sectional, District, and Regional Champion team in 1989, and the team made it to the State Runner-Up, Division III in the same year.
Brenda Hein Reilman
Brenda Hein Reilman graduated from North College Hill in 1979, where she played varsity tennis for four years, serving as the first singles player her senior year, earning team MVP honors in 1978. She was also a point guard for the varsity basketball team for three years and the junior varsity team for one, earning the team MVP award her senior year and being named to the HCSAA All-Star team. Additionally, she played left field for the varsity softball team for three years, earning the team MVP award in 1978 and 1979. Brenda was named Rookie of the Year in 1976, Athlete of the Year in 1978, and Senior Athlete of the Year in 1979.
Kim Hein Enderle
Kim Hein Enderle is a former athlete who graduated in 1980. During her high school years, she was an active member of the Girls Athletic Association (GAA) for four years and was its president from 1979 to 1980. She also played tennis for four years, being the 1st singles player in 1979. Kim also played basketball for four years, starting from her JV years up to varsity, and played shortstop in the softball team for four years as well. She received several awards during her high school career, including the Rookie of the Year in 1977, Athlete of the Year in 1979, Senior Athlete of the Year in 1980, and was also named MVP in softball in 1980.
Hank Henderson
Hank Henderson graduated from North College Hill High School in 1980, where he was the Senior Class President and a standout athlete. He earned a total of 11 varsity letters across four sports: football, basketball, baseball, and track. In football, he received Honorable Mention All-League National Division honors in 1977 and 1978, and All-League National Division honors in 1979, where he was named to the 1st Team All-League National Division Offense and Defense. Additionally, he received Honorable Mention All-City Defensive Player honors from the Cincinnati Enquirer and 1st Team All-City Offense Class AA-A honors from both the Cincinnati Enquirer and Cincinnati Post in 1979 and 1980, respectively. He was also awarded the Buddy LaRosa’s Sports Feature Award by Hank Zureich and was team captain. In basketball, he received Honorable Mention All-League National Division honors in 1980. After high school, he played football at Kent State University on an athletic scholarship.
LaTosha Johnson Bell
LaTosha Johnson Bell is a former athlete who graduated in 2003 and was awarded the Anthony Munoz Scholar Athlete that same year. In volleyball, she was a 1st Team All-League player in 2000, 2001, and 2002. She was also recognized as a 2nd Team SWOVBCA All-City player in 2002 and received an Honorable Mention for the SWOVBCA All-City and the Cincinnati Enquirer All-Star Division II-IV in 2000 and 2002, respectively. She was part of the league champion teams in 2000, 2001, and 2002, and contributed to the Sectional and District Championships in Division III in 2002. In basketball, she was a 1st Team All-League player in 2002 and received an Honorable Mention for the Cincinnati Enquirer All-Star in the same year. She had a career point of 1032 and was part of the Sectional, District, and Regional Championship team in Division III in 2003. Her team also reached the State Final Four in Division III with a 21-5 overall record in 2003.
Shamika Johnson Karikari
Shamika Johnson Karikari, a graduate of North College Hill in 2003, excelled in both volleyball and basketball during her high school career. In volleyball, she received 2nd Team All-League honors in 2000, 2001, and 2002, and was recognized as an Honorable Mention for SWOVBCA All-City and Cincinnati Enquirer Division II-IV in 2002. Her teams won League Championships in 2000, 2001, and 2002, and also achieved Sectional and District Championships in Division III in 2002. In basketball, Shamika received Honorable Mention from the Cincinnati Enquirer in 2002, and her team won Sectional, District, and Regional Championships in Division III in 2003, reaching the State Final Four with an impressive overall record of 21-5.
Jeff Riga
Jeff Riga, a graduate of 1986, was a star athlete at North College Hill. In golf, he played varsity for four years and was named to the 1st Team All-League in 1984 and 1985. Jeff was also a talented baseball player, playing shortstop for the JV team in 1983 and the varsity team from 1984-1986. During his time on the varsity team, he was named to the 1st Team All-League in 1985 and 1986. In 1986, he had an impressive season, leading the city in triples, ranking fourth in the city in batting average, and placing in the top 20 in the city for both RBIs and stolen bases. He hit three home runs in a single game and had 70 at-bats with only one strikeout.
Joanna Sears
Joanna Sears served as the Head Varsity Girls Basketball Coach at North College Hill for five seasons from 2000-2005. During her tenure, the team achieved an impressive overall record of 72-39 and a league record of 51-21. In 2003, under Sears' leadership, the team made history by becoming the Sectional, District, and Regional Champions in Division III and reaching the State Final Four. Sears was recognized for her outstanding coaching by being named the Cincinnati Enquirer Coach of the Year in Division III in 2003 and also received the Miami Valley Conference James Wright Award.
Tim Sies
During his time at North College Hill, Tim Sies served as the Head Varsity Wrestling Coach for 12 seasons from 2005 to 2017. Under his leadership, the team won 10 consecutive league championships from 2008 to 2017, as well as 19 team tournament championships. Sies also coached 74 individual league champions, two sectional champions, 30 district qualifiers, and three state qualifiers (in Folkstyle, Greco-Roman, and Freestyle wrestling). He received 10 consecutive League Coach of the Year awards from 2008 to 2017. Sies established the Everette Howard Memorial Wrestling Invitational and the NCH Middle School Wrestling Invitational, and was instrumental in establishing the NCH wrestling practice facility.
Ron Simmons
Ron Simmons graduated from North College Hill High School in 1968 and was a standout athlete, earning 12 varsity letters in football (4), basketball (4), and baseball (4). He started in three sports during his junior and senior years and was the Sports Pennant Runner-Up for most points in 1968. Simmons was part of the league championship teams in football (1967) and basketball (1968). After high school, he received a basketball scholarship to Sue Bennett College where he earned his A.A. in 1970. He then served in the United States Air Force from 1970 to 1974, where he was a captain on the Air Force All Interservice Basketball Team in Okinawa. Simmons returned to school and earned a B.S. in a double major and an M.S. from Eastern Kentucky University. He also completed coursework towards an Ed.D. from the University of Kentucky. Throughout his career, Simmons held various positions in the public and private sectors, including university professor, administrator, and executive. He was also a participant in Leadership Kentucky in 1986.
Valencia Stallings
Valencia Stallings graduated from high school in 2012 and was a star athlete in basketball, track and field, volleyball, softball, and Trojanettes. In basketball, she received several honors such as 2nd Team All-League (2010), 1st Team All-League (2011, 2012), 2nd Team All-City, Division III (2011), 1st Team All-City, Division III (2012), 2nd Team All-Southwest Ohio, Division III (2011), and 1st Team All-Southwest Ohio, Division III (2012). Stallings was also named the Player of the Year for the Miami Valley Conference, Gray Division in 2012. In addition, she led the league with 315 rebounds and 17 rebounds per game in 2012. She was awarded the Urban League of Greater Cincinnati High School "Female Athlete of the Year" in 2012. In track and field, Stallings was a part of the League Championship teams for 4x100 and 4x200 in 2011 and 2012, as well as a League Champion in the Long Jump in 2012. She was also a District Champion for 4x200 in 2011 and 2012 and a Regional Champion for 4x200 in 2012. Stallings was a State Champion for 4x200 in 2012. Additionally, she received 1st Team All-League honors for Volleyball in 2011 and 2nd Team All-League honors for Softball in 2009. After high school, Stallings played one season of Women's Basketball at Wilberforce University before transferring to Northern Kentucky University where she became the Captain of the Northern Kentucky University Dance Team.
David Thinnes
David Thinnes was a talented athlete who graduated from NCH in 1973 and earned 9 varsity letters in Golf (4), Basketball (3), and Football (2). He is also part of the Inaugural Class of 1986 NCH Hall of Fame with his father, Nelson C. Thinnes. David's success in golf earned him Honorable Mention All-League (1971), All-League (1972, 1973), and Honorable Mention All-City (1972, 1973). He was also named City Player of the Week in 1973 and held the #1 spot with a 39 stroke average from 1971-1973. As a basketball player, he was a point guard and earned Honorable Mention All-League in 1973. In football, he played as a quarterback and place kicker and was named All-League (1972), Honorable Mention All-City (1972), and City Player of the Week (1972). He also led the league in kick scoring and passed for the most yards in the city in 1972.
Ben Wapole
Ben Wapole graduated from NCH in 1996 and was the editor of the NCH Sports Express. He was responsible for sports reporting on NCH games, and also worked as a statistician for the football and boys basketball teams. Wapole was also the editor for the boys basketball preview and published game programs. In addition, he was instrumental in gathering information for the history of NCH Athletics. His work helped to document and preserve the rich history of sports at NCH for future generations.
